Scions Rulebook
YAGANet

Scions uses a Base-10 system with a standard metal system for monetary purposes. The three primary metals are (in order from least to greatest value): Copper, Silver, and Gold.

10 Copper = 1 Silver

10 Silver = 1 Gold

These are not the only forms of money, however; some races continue to use bigger, more valuable coins of their own, but these are uncommon among normal circumstances.

Merchants:

Scions Merchants can sell a variety of goods, but they are most commonly used for spell scrolls. Their standard pricing list is as follows:

Pay For (i.e., selling to the Merchant) is listed in Silver, Sell For (i.e., buying from the Merchant) is listed in Gold for your convenience.

Unless otherwise noted, a Merchant traditionally marks up item costs by a factor of 10 from actual production cost (e.g., an item requiring 1 Silver to produce will sell for 1 Gold from a Merchant). Additionally, they will purchase items for a factor of 3 above actual production cost (e.g., a Merchant will purchase an item requiring 1 Silver to produce for 3 Silver).

Although rare, minor circumstantial deviations from this table may be bartered at Plot discretion, but under no circumstances should these deviations violate local Chapter Treasure Policy.
